Title: CNC Programmer/Fabricator (Plastics)

Salary:  Dependant on experience

Working hours:  Monday - Friday - 7:00am - 4:00pm

Location: Broughton Astley, Leicestershire

 

Our client, is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer/Fabricator to join their small and friendly team. The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in supporting the Fabrication department with producing bespoke items, ensuring attention to detail, accuracy and quality in the work carried out.

The Role:

• Working as part of a small team to ensure a seamless service is delivered to their client-base
• Programming and operating the CNC Milling Machines and Lathes
• Reading technical drawing and at times creating on AutoCAD
• Reporting into the Fabrication Supervisor to ensure all orders are achieved within the agreed timeframes and department targets are met
• Using various hand tools
• Quality checking all items prior to them being sent to despatch
• Carrying out general maintenance and cleaning duties on the machinery and workspace areas
• Adhering to health and safety on-site

 

You’ll Need:

• Able to create and read technical drawings using AutoCAD
• Previous experience of working in the plastics/ acrylics manufacturing sector
• Good understanding of Health & Safety on-site
• Able to work to deadlines and priorities workloads
• Proficient in Microsoft packages, Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience of utilising Continuous Improvements methods would be advantageous
