Working hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Location: Stevenage, Hertfordshire

 

Our client, a unique global engineering organisation are seeking an experienced Composites Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team. A specialist within the composites arena they are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer who will predominantly focus on their composite processing techniques and engineering assembly strategies. Striving for continuous improvement and implementing/rollout new processes for the manufacture of composite components.

The Composites Manufacturing Engineer Role:

• Focus on engineering assembly strategies and manage the development or processing techniques
• Support with NPI and product development activities by creating more effective manufacturing processes
• Primary contact for all external customers with regards to technical queries
• Work towards a zero defects philosophy and lead continuous improvement activities to support with reducing wastage
• Generate simple and accurate work instructions for the manufacture of components, to assist with achieving ‘Right First Time’
• Carryout FMEA to identify and address potential failures and problems and implement control plans across various product lines
• Utilise ERP system to create and maintain BoMs and Routings

 

You’ll Need:

• HND qualification or equivalent within an engineering discipline
• Experience of Continuous Improvement, 8D Problem Solving and 5 Why’s within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• An understanding of composites materials and processing methods
• Previous experience of supporting NPI activities
• Adopts an analytical and methodical approach whilst being highly organised and process driven
• Previous exposure to autoclave pre-prep systems and Requirements Traceability Matrix
• Project Management experience would be advantageous
• A proactive approach and able to use own initiative to drive tasks to completion
