Salary: Dependent on experience

Working hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday

Location:  Stevenage, Hertfordshire

 

VH Talent is excited to be working in partnership with our client, a leading engineering company in Hertfordshire. We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Specialist to join the organisation. The successful candidate will drive all CI activities in the business forward by generating and implementing improvement strategies, to ensure the most cost-effective, highest quality and robust processes are implemented onsite.

The Continuous Improvement Specialist Role:

  • Lead all Continuous Improvement activities across the site
  • Oversee and manage all CI programs onsite to ensure the organisation is continuously evolving
  • Carryout Improvement projects, ensuring process improvement(s), quality, efficiency and cost savings
  • Interlink the departments to ensure everyone is working to the same Lean Principles, Systems and Improvements
  • Advocate onsite for Lean Sigma tools and techniques
  • Coach effectively to increase capabilities across the site for Green and Yellow Belts, Kaizens/A3s
  • Analyse and measure the current processes in place to generate process improvements that support with the wider business goals
  • Manage Business Continuity and Risk Management alongside strategy deployment

 

You’ll Need:

  • Ideally Green Belt and experienced in Lean Methods, Tools and Principles
  • Previous experience of delivering CI projects within a manufacturing or engineering setting
  • Experienced in leading and influencing multiple teams
  • Able to communicate and implement CI activities across the entire business and working in partnership with Departmental Managers and Senior Stakeholders
  • Highly organised with the ability to work on multiple projects independently or as part of a wider team
  • Adopts a proactive approach and able to make decisions to drive tasks to completion
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages, Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint
  • Experienced in Project Management Tools; Visio and MS Project would be advantageous
  • Due to the nature of our client’s business, all employees are required to hold the required national security clearance for their role. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which is managed by our client
