Salary:  Dependant on experience

Working hours:  Monday - Friday - Day Shift

Location: Broughton Astley, Leicestershire

 

Our client, is offering a unique opportunity to join their organisation as a Fabrication Team Leader!

 

The successful application will work collaboratively with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure production targets are achieved and customer satisfaction is met. Ensuring efficiency, high quality and a cost effective approach at all times. They will also oversee a small team of 2 employees within the Fabrication department and ensure Health & Safety is adhered to at all times.

 

This is a proactive role, where the successful applicant will be operating machinery, carrying out manual handling and using hand tools.

The Fabrication Team Leader Role:

  • Conduct team briefs and ensure production targets are being achieved by the team
  • Provide training to personnel within the Fabrication department as required, along with completing one to ones and personal development reviews
  • Operating CNC Routers and Lasers to produce various orders
  • Ensure working efficiently and quality checking products against specification
  • Using hand tools
  • Working with the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the manufacturing facility runs smoothly
  • Complete management meetings with the Operations Manager and Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the wider company goals/objectives are being achieved
  • Adhering to health and safety onsite and ensuring the team are too
  • Advocate for a Continuous Improvement activities onsite

 

 

You’ll Need:

  • Previous experience of leading a team or some experience of supervising
  • Able to multitask and prioritise workload to ensure meeting department deadlines and business objectives
  • Operated CNC Routers, Lathes and Line Benders
  • Previous experience of working with acrylics/various plastic materials is essential
  • Able to read technical drawings
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and proficient in Microsoft packages
  • Good understanding of Health and Safety in a manufacturing setting
  • Manual handling: some heavy lifting will be required as part of the role
