Title: Field Service Representative 

Salary: £26,000 -£27,500 per annum

Working hours: Day Shift, Monday - Friday - 40 hours 

Location:  Head office - Enderby, Leicestershire and travel throughout the UK  

 

Our client, a unique manufacturing facility based in Enderby, is seeking a reliable and customer focused Field Service Technician to join their friendly and dynamic team. The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring all servicing, installations and repairs/modifications are carried out to the highest standard and within a timely manner, whilst ensuring a friendly and bespoke service to each customer.

The Field Service Representative Role:

  • Complete full training on the company’s product range to ensure fully comfortable and confident  with supporting customers 
  • Travel throughout the UK to customers facilities, working autonomously and remotely to provide servicing, installation of new products, modifications and repairs on the company’s product range 
  • Deliver excellent customer service via telephone, email and in person, listening to requirements, issues that have occurred and attending site to investigate, identifying faults, repairing if possible or identifying what course of action is required. Documenting findings in the service report. 
  • Ensure a full awareness of entire product range with the ability to promote upgrades whilst providing technical support and identifying opportunities to up-sell and maximise sales opportunities, feeding back to the Sales Team 
  • Report all defects on company products, especially new models to ensure continuous improvement 
  • Reporting into the Sales Manager and working closely with the Servicing Coordinator to create a suitable and cost effective schedule for visits 
  • Working towards Department and wider business objectives to achieve company goals 
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures, ensuring to carry out work in a safe and diligent manner 
  • Some overnight stays will be required as part of this role 

 

You’ll Need:

  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • Able to build long-term robust working relationships with clients
  • Comfortable with attending customers sites to carry out services, installs and repairs 
  • Manual handling: some heavy lifting will be required as part of the role when servicing and moving machinery 
  • Previous experience of operating within a manufacturing setting is desirable 
  • Able to multitask and prioritise workload to ensure meeting customer deadlines, department goals and business objectives
  • Detail orientated, analytical approach and solution provider 
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential as regular travel is part of the role 
  • Able to write reports from servicing in preparation for storing onto the internal system 
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages
