Working hours: Continental Shifts, Days and Nights - 12 Hour Shifts

Location: Corby, Northamptonshire

 

Our client, a global engineering organisation based in Northamptonshire has an exciting opportunity to join their Engineering Team as a Maintenance Engineer. The successful applicant will ideally be electrically biased Engineer with experience of working on various plant machinery within a manufacturing setting.

The Maintenance Engineer (Continental Shifts) Role:

• Service, maintain and carry out PPM to the sites equipment, facilities and machinery to ensure efficiency, compliance and operating safely
• Assist with installations and commissioning of machinery
• Support with reactive maintenance, ensuring breakdowns are rectified and resolved in a quick and efficient manner to ensure downtime is kept to a minimal
• Monitor and maintenance of lighting, water and heating systems and routine checks/tests on the fire alarms, along with PAT testing
• Providing solutions to PLC, hydraulic and pneumatic systems faults that occur
• Completing all relevant paperwork to ensure compliance and adherence to health and safety
• Assist with working towards the Engineering Department's objectives and the wider company goals

 

You’ll Need:

• Electrically biased Engineer with experience in mechanical engineering too
• Operated within a manufacturing or engineering setting previously
• Electrical qualification, 18th edition or equivalent
• A proactive approach and able to use own initiative to resolve issues and breakdowns
• Experienced in PLC’s, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Experience of Continuous Improvement, 8D Problem Solving and 5 Why’s within an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Adopts an analytical and methodical approach whilst being highly organised and process lead
• IT Literate
