Title: Production Operative - Night Shift 

Salary: Dependent on experience + Shift Allowance

Working hours: Night Shift: Sunday - Thursday - 10:00pm - 6:00am                                 

Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire

The Production/ Assembly Operative Role:

• Operate various machinery, use hand tools and measuring equipment
• Maintain and clean tools/machinery and report any issues
• Working to Lean Principles and adhere to health and safety guidelines on-site
• Attend team briefs/meetings to ensure fully aware of all daily objectives: projects, department targets and to ensure working towards continuous improvement
• Assembly of product range, ensuring following to specifications accurately
• Carry out quality checks on items, reporting any defects
• General housekeeping to ensure a clean, tidy and safe working environment
• Adhering to health and safety on-site and following Lean Principles

 

You’ll Need:

• A proactive and ‘Can Do’ approach
• Previous experience of operating in a manufacturing or engineering environment would be highly advantageous
• Able to follow instructions and use initiative to drive tasks to completion
• Experience of using hand tools, measuring equipment and various machinery
• Has attention to detail and accuracy in the work carried out
• Due to the nature of the work, manual handling will be required at times
• Good problem solving skills
• IT Literate as some computer use will be required at times
• Experience of operating within a Continuous Improvement environment is desirable
