Our client, is offering a unique opportunity to join their international organisation as an experienced Sales Manager. The successful applicant will oversee the entire sales life cycle: from initial communication through to delivery.

The Sales Manager Role:
- Ensure sales opportunities are maximised by strategic planning and mapping. Identifying, targeting and winning new customers and distributors
- Carrying out competitor analysis, market research and ensuring fully aware of own company’s full capabilities
- Generate a regular sales report and key performance indicators to share with the wider business and to track performance
- Manage tenders, proposals, presentations, contracts and supporting documentations as required to secure new business and retain. Including subsequent customer negotiations.
- Develop brand promotion and customer intimacy strategies at a cross-functional, peer-to-peer level in order to ensure the company’s visibility, confidence and presence within the customer and product end-user community.
- Manage and build a strong pipeline of prospective customers, mapping, recording activity and consistently updating.
- Build business cases for the targeted elements of the pipeline and win strategies to include manufacturing and inventory strategy in order to deliver sales translation.
- Ensure a solid and technical understanding of the company’s product range, capabilities and services to ensure value-added revenue can be capitalised on
- Identifying and managing multi-channel sales methods and routes to market
- Achieve sales growth targets and wider organisation objectives
You’ll Need:
- Able to strategically identify and create objectives in order to achieve individual, department and wider business goals
- Customer focused: A proven track record of building robust customer relationships, securing new business and retaining by delivering excellent customer satisfaction
- Commercially astute and good financial understanding
- Able to present to internal and external teams and lead cross-functional teams
- Previous experience of operating as a Sales Manager within an engineering setting
- Highly organised, detail orientated and able to work on multiple projects, ensuring to meet deadlines
- Able to present and influence to Senior Stakeholders
- Has an understanding on the implementation of internal governance procedures and gated processes in order to maintain the integrity, accuracy and control of the sales process
- Highly desirable to have experience within polymer, rubber and composites
- Proficient in Access and Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
- Up to date and researches our market to ensure at the forefront of industry knowledge and movements
- Able to gather data, compile information, analyse and prepare reports to share with wider teams
- Travel and driving are an essential part of this role where overnight stays will be required
